Casa Bosco is located in the village of Secchiano (municipality of Cagli), in the Marche region, about 1450 km from Utrecht, a city in the center of The Netherlands. Casa Bosco is easily accessible by plane and car.
Strada San Vitale 6

The closest airport is the Ancona-airport (Aeroporto delle Marche in Falconara Marittima), with flights from London Stansted. From Ancona it takes about 1 hour to drive to Casa Bosco. But there are more possibilities: from various airports in the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and the United Kingdom you can fly to Perugia (1 hour drive), Bologna (2 hours drive), Pescara (2.5 hours drive) and Rome (3 hours drive), often the cheapest with Ryanair (www.ryanair.com).
You can view and compare the various options and prices on the website www.lowcostairlines.nl. We advise you to book on Tuesday, then the rates seem to be the lowest. Good car rental facilities are available at all airports; we prefer to book via Ryanair or www.easyterra.nl.
If you have questions about booking flights or renting cars, please call or email us. We are happy to help you.
Directions – From the North (from Switzerland via Milan)
From Milan take the A1 (toll road) towards Bologna, at Bologna take the A14 towards Ancona.
At the exit Fano leave the toll road and follow the signs towards Roma for 47 km (at first this road is the SS73bis and then it turns into the SP3). Then take the Cagli Ovest exit (NB: do not take the 1st exit – Cagli Est). At the end of the exit, turn right towards Pietralunga – Secchiano.
After about 3 km on this road (SP29) you will see a small petrol station with a bar on your left. Turn right after about 50 meters (immediately after the bridge). This is the Strada San Vitale, an unpaved gravel road (strada bianca). Follow this for about 2 km and you will see Casa Bosco on top of the hill in front of you. To reach the parking lot, keep following the strada bianca (you are actually driving past Casa Bosco), until you see the entrance on your right, marked by a sign.
NB: for guests who are not used to Italian roads: the strada bianca is an uphill gravel road. At the beginning of the road there is a sharp (hairpin) bend, after which the road gradually goes up. The road is less suitable for longer vehicles, such as campers.
Directions – from the North (from Austria via Innsbruck)
From Innsbruck take the A13 towards Brenner. From the Italian border you follow the E45 / A22, which will take you along Trento, Verona and Modena. After Modena, head towards Bologna (A14) and follow this road until the Fano exit. For the continuation see above.
Directions from Ancona airport
From the airport follow the green signs towards the toll road to Bologna. Follow the A14 until the exit Fano. For the continuation see above.
Some navigation systems cannot find our address (Strada San Vitale 6 in Secchiano), or do not navigate via the best way to us, but through a bad short cut (very bad roads). We therefore advise you to follow the directions above.
If you want to drive with the help of the navigation system, it is best to enter the town of Secchiano (Center) and then just before Secchiano follow the last part of the directions above (from the gas station / bar). NB: there are 2 places in Italy called Secchiano. Casa Bosco is located in the Pesaro Urbino region (PU – postal code 61043) and the nearest large town is Cagli.
