In the surroundings of Casa Bosco we have found several nice restaurants, so you can go out for dinner every night if you want. The menu is usually typical of the Marche: lots of cheese and meat, homemade pasta dishes, seasonal vegetables and delicious desserts. We find, for example, Ristorante Martinelli in Apecchio a must: a table full of antipasti, bowls of steaming pasta and the juiciest bistecca Fiorentina (T-bone steak) that you could wish for. Or La Taverna della Rocca in the beautiful Frontone, where La Mamma prepares the bread and meat over a large fireplace in the restaurant. Or an Italian ‘fast food restaurant’, favorite with the locals: Il Poggio, on the road between Cagli and Fontone. In the town of Fermignano you can find Ca ‘Maddalena, an agriturismo with a nice restaurant.

If you want to eat in a special place then you should definitely visit Slowcanda in Piobbico, a hippie-style restaurant in the mountains with an unique terrace. The best time to go there is spring-time, when it is not too hot yet. Also nice and different from usual is Hosteria del Castello in Acqualagna. And if you like truffles, then you should definitely go for a meal at ‘Da Baffone‘, just across the border with Umbria. Or drive to the medieval town of Nidastore, where the village square serves as an open air restaurant. But also in Cagli you can eat out (culinary), for an absolutely reasonable price, at La Gioconda,a very good restaurant.

Good food can also be enjoyed in the medieval town of Gubbio, a half hour from Casa Bosco or in the beautiful city of Urbino, about 40 minutes from Casa Bosco.

Sometimes you have to drive for half an hour or longer for a certain restaurant, but we think they are all worth it. We are happy to show you the way and reserve a table for you!
